The children's counseling practice of Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern Miles Oakner. Here in Boca Raton, FL, we use strategies such as positive psychology, person-centered therapy, strength-based therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help children and families work through their personal struggles.

Miles received a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling. Some issues he commonly helps with include behavioral concerns at school and home, anxiety, ADHD, social skills, life skills, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and confidence. We provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere to discuss the root of these issues and equip children with the tools to be their best selves.

Miles' approach to counseling is unique, as he utilizes active therapy through sports, art, games, music, and many other activities as a means of connecting with clients. From there, he's able to guide kids and teens to adopt better mental and physical behavior patterns. Working with children has always been his passion, from working at summer camps to coaching basketball to now working as a psychotherapist. Children today are faced with overwhelming stress and adversity in school, sports, social groups, online, and/or at home. It's important to truly understand the challenges of the modern child to properly help them.

At Attitude is Everything Counseling, our mission is to instill confidence, insight, and positivity in all our clients in a supportive, fun, and engaging way. Miles has a lot of experience guiding children through struggles ranging from bullying to stress to parental issues. He offers both in-office and outdoor sessions in Boca Raton, FL, which offers kids the choice of environment that is most comfortable for them.
